Criminal Defense Attorney Michelle Suskauer was Inducted as Palm Beach County Bar President
West Palm Beach, FL – Board Certified Criminal Trial Lawyer and national known Legal Analyst Michelle Suskauer was inducted as the Palm Beach County Bar Association (PBCBA) President on June 20, 2009. The Annual Installation Banquet was held at 7:00 p.m. at the Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach. Suskauer was sworn in by Florida Supreme Court Justice Barbara Pariente.
“The Palm Beach County Bar Association prides itself on being one of the strongest Voluntary Bar Associations in Florida,” says Suskauer. “It provides several opportunities for educational, networking and social activities for our members, as well as programs to help improve our community, and I am honored to become president.”
Michelle Suskauer began her legal career as an assistant public defender in West Palm Beach. She has been practicing in Palm Beach County since 1991 and specializes in criminal law in both state and federal courts.
Michelle is a nationally known legal analyst who regularly appears on CNN, FOX NEWS, MSNBC, NBC, and CNBC. She has made hundreds of television appearances including The O’Reilly Factor, The Abrams Report, The Today Show, Good Morning America, NBC Nightly News, Hannity & Colmes, Nancy Grace, Anderson Cooper 360, and The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch.
Some of the legal issues and cases Michelle has covered include: O.J. Simpson, Rush Limbaugh, Jessica Lunsford, Anna Nicole Smith, Duke Lacrosse Rape Case, Debra LaFave, John Couey, Andrea Yates, Natalee Holloway, Carlie Brucia, Casey Anthony, Howard Stern, Paris Hilton, cameras in courtrooms and teens being charged as adults. Locally she is the legal analyst for Palm Beach County’s NBC affiliate WPTV NewsChannel 5 and has been a weekly host and analyst for NEWSRADIO 1290 WJNO.
Michelle is actively involved in the leadership of numerous local and state legal organizations. In addition to her induction as PBCBA President, she serves on the Board of Directors of the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County. She was the Past-President of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL) – Palm Beach County Chapter. While serving as President of the FAWL she was recognized by the Governor’s Office, the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice and the Legal Aid Society for her initiation of the “Breakfast and Books” Mentoring Program for juvenile offenders. Michelle is recognized in the annual Florida Super Lawyers Magazine as one of Florida’s top criminal defense attorneys and by Florida Trend Magazine as one of Florida’s “Legal Elite” in its annual statewide poll of attorneys.
